Parent Organization: Saint Louis University
Beyond All Reason is Saint Louis University's first and only all-female a cappella group. Founded in the fall of 2002 by Monica Reicks and Becky Phillips, two SLU students, Beyond All Reason (known around campus as BAR) started with 10 singers and has certainly come a long way since! Today we have grown to a comfortable size of 14 lovely singers and can be seen around campus performing at a multitude of events. We host two concert extravaganzas a year and sing for various other student organization-sponsored events, such as the three other fabulous SLU a cappella groups' concerts, Relay For Life, SLU basketball games, etc. You may also catch us off campus singing for a number of regional events including cancer walks and Cardinals games. We sing a little bit of everything, although we often sing many contemporary songs that you would hear on the radio. Like most other collegiate groups, every single one of the songs we perform are arranged or have been arranged by current or previous members of BAR.
